Yep, where I live people cancel everything, but when it snows, it usually melts, then turns into ice, making it really dangerous to drive. So I guess that's why everyone freaks out.

Well southern drivers aren't conditioned for driving in the snow and they don't have saline solutions to prepare the roads

In the South, when it snows and we still have school everyone goes insane and gets so mad

I'm from washington state but I lived in northern minnesota for 6 years and I can tell you.... "polar vortex" is true haha I had to go to school even though it was like -20 out but thank god I moved back here home sweet home :)

Here in Maryland there was less than 1 inch on the ground and schools closed everyone freaked out
