I learn French for a couple of years now and the numbers have always pissed me off so much. Why, French? Why?

French years are the hardest. 1999 = mille neuf cent quatre vingt dix neuf

I know, right? When our French teacher gave us a project about history of France, it was the worst thing, because we had to speak about a specific time in history in front of the class. Fortunately, others messed up even more, so I wasn't the worst.

Its easy! 20*4 (multiply) makes eighty. Then you put a number from 1-19 and .voila. Or you can be like the Belgians and SOME swiss and say 70- septante, 90- nonante
