Sorry if I piss a few people off, but God apparently knows all, and nothing happens without his permission. Yeah, he gave us free will, and he knew this was going to happen, so whatever we do is completely up to us, He gave us guidance, yes. but that doesn't mean we agree with it, like He may not agree with our actions.

That's the point. Since He gave us free will, He won't MAKE us do what He wants us to do. He'll just let it happen because it is up to us of the actions we make, but that doesn't mean He agrees with it. In Leviticus 18:22 it says - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable"

Yes, agreed, but it was not just homosexuality going on. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah due to the extensive amount of sin and debauchery going on in the city.

Okay, guest, may I ask what religion you are? It'll make this conversation easier.

This may sound weird, but I am catholic and even with the Leviticus verse, I have no problem with homosexuality

The point of Sodom and Gomorrah isn't that butt sex is bad. The point is that everybody in both cities were doing unspeakable things to each other and to guests.

apparently there's some verse in the bible- not sure where though- that says slaves are fine as long s they're not from your country.

Pretty sure that's not true. When the Exodus happened a lot of the Hebrews had slaves due to 700? years of being in Egypt and God didn't approve of it but it would've been hard to all of a sudden let go of all those slaves since a) they wouldn't have anywhere to go b) the masters probably wouldn't want to let them go anyway. So there were laws set up specifically for the Hebrews with slaves for that time saying you could only keep your slave for 7 years then you could let him go with wages for all his seven years or he could stay f he wanted. But the slave could leave any time he wanted in those 7 years along with his wages. I highly doubt it said anything about it's okay if they're from another country.

Religion is for those who are afraid of going to hell, spirituality, or atheism, is for those who have already been to hell
