This entire thing is of female characters disney doesn't include in their disney princess line up, or else Mulan and Pocahontas would have been included
I've always found Disney to be very unfair when it comes to who they include in their Disney Princess line. When I was younger I was obsessed with Atlantis, I didn't know much about the whole Disney Princess thing at the time, but I thought for sure Kida would be included.... And then when I got access to Internet I found out she wasn't. I thought it was because she was a queen not a princess... And then they included Elsa in the Disney Princess line up, so yeah, Disney has some explaining to do. I'm about 90% sure they base who ends up in the line up on how pretty people thought they were
I don't wacch a lot of disney movies so can someone please tell me who the girl climbing up the ladder, the fairy behind her, and the two girls above the sign kinda in the middle are? Thanks
The girl climbing up the ladder is from Jungle Book, sadly I can't remember her name. The fairy is the Blue Fairy from Pinnocio. I can't remember the names of the two above the sign, but the girl is from the Black Cauldron, and the cat thing is from Treasure Planet.
I hope that some what helps
I read Kida wasn't included because her movie didn't have songs in it. Total BS reasoning. Kida was absolutely fierce, beautiful and kick ass. She selflessly saved her civilization and in my opinion is a far greater role model than Cinderella, Snow White or Aurora ever will be.
Unless I missed something, Brave didn't have songs in it either, yet Mirada was included in the line up, and on top of that, Brave was made by Pixar, not Disney, and I know that Pixar is owned by Disney and all, but still, I find it kind of strange that they choose to include Mirada in the princess line up, but not Kida.
Brave had this song in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk6w0FNcbYM
I don't know if there were more, but this is surely the one I remember. But I agree with both of guys, choosing a princess like this is really weird. Kida is a way better role model than Snow White or Cinderella etc.
I see, the link doesn't work on my phone, but I'm assuming that this paticular song was played in the background because like every other Pixar movie, brave wasn't a musical, and that was apparently the reasoning behind Kida not being in the line up, as well as Jane (they were both planned to be at one point) so the fact that they pull this shit now upsets me, because Kida is way better than any of those other disney princesses, frankly I think she's like Mulan, being one of the few disney females capable of handling shit on her own
Kida from Atlantis is nowhere to be found because the movie was a huge flop. I used to work at Disneyland and couldn't find anyone who liked it, myself included and we got free tickets. Disney doesn't want to remind people of it's failures, only it's successes. Same story with the Black Cauldren, it was released in 1985 but did so poorly that is wasn't released in North America for the home audience until 2010.
People were thrown off by the drawing style of the people, I believe. I don't care though, I freaking love the movie. Oh, also, to the guest, no one really like Pocahontas either but she's in the line up, so yeah, Disney is just kind of unfair
Well sometimes when a movie doesn't do as well as the creators hope they make a second one in attempt to milk whatever's left out of the people who liked the movie. The same thing was done with Fern Gully.
I think it's a little dumb when people get so worked up about the representation in the princess line... Just because they're not princesses doesn't mean they're insignificant!!! I think the problem is that the non-royalty characters don't get the time of day when it comes to merchandise. Lets get more merch of these beautiful ladies Disney!
I hope that some what helps
