There is a german "stoner-comedy" movie where they talk about this problem. And one of the main characters just rages on and on about this... and I think he really got a point.

We have plenty of things to fight about besides this. I agree that they look stupid buying anything with a pot leaf on it, but herb is a universal friend maker. Yeah some of the people you meet that also smoke are not exactly your crowd doesn't mean you have to tear them down like this. Don't like em leave em alone.

I know I’m late, but they way that I view it, it is a drug, yes, but so is alcohol and so is caffeine and nicotine. If you use marijuana reasonably and use it responsibly, it shouldn’t be an issue and should be viewed the same way as alcohol. It impairs you. You make different decisions, you feel different. But what do I know? I just smoke pot right?

Some of us are using it for medicine, for instance, people that survive anorexia, and ptsd, and you know what? Yes, those people make us look bad, but you, with your downplaying of the potential benefits, make us look like a joke. and it's butthurt you fucking imbecile.

I don't think he's trying to belittle anyone who smokes pot, I think what he's trying to say is smoking pot is not a lifestyle any more than drinking is. It's the people who constantly are talking about it and make sure every item in their wardrobe has a pot leaf on it. I too, smoke weed and I see exactly where he's coming from. Not to mention in the post he's talking about the people who don't smoke for medicinal reasons, which apparently you do. No reason to call them an "Imbecile" for not saying anything insulting towards you or anyone else who uses for medical reasons.
