Its cause your brain is still dreaming but you're awake and your body is still paralyzed. In america its most often what people are really experiencing when they get abducted by aliens.
When you go to sleep your brain paralyzes your whole body so you don't act out your dreams. Rarely but it will happen, its happened to my mom she was welling at me to help her and to wake her up but I couldn't itwas tterrifying. Anyway, you can wake up while your body is still paralyzed and your brain is still partially dreaming and you can usually see terrifying yhings. Different cultures have different names for them based on what is usually experienced. This one is like th hag or something, sufferes will report seeing a small creature sitting on their chest staring at them. In america its usually alien abductions. Sorry for the long comment hope I explained. Have a great day.
also, if you ever realize that you have woken up with sleep paralysis, don't open your eyes. Keep your eyes closed and focus on moving small parts of your body such as your toes and fingers, moving to your arms and legs and so on
I'm not sure if I've had sleep paralysis because strangely it was nothing terrifying, I actually saw a bird flying around my room. Does it always have to be something scary to be sleep paralysis?
Once when I was seven, I had a lucid dream that a man was pacing around my room for several minutes and then suddenly he turned around and jumped me and he had the scariest face ever....
This happene to me a lot.One time it happened when I was around my mom and made a weird noise so she could wake me up..Instead she was laughing and I was mad >. <
I hope i wont experience this.sleep's the next best thing after food.
