I think in that episode marshall and lily are talking about their baby. in the first scene barney and robin are talking about marriage, in the second scene marshall and lilly are talking about lily getting pergnant, in the third scene talking about their kid graduating in future and in the last one ted's talking about grownig old with your partner. :) that's why thr background people change.

No they're actually making Canadian jokes because robin wants her and Barney's wedding to be in canada, so it's showing how long they make fun of Canada. :)
