I wouldn't say its evil. But imagine reading a really good book, that you really liked, then reading it again, only to see another way it could have ended. I like the idea. Imagine if they did that with Harry Potter. Wouldn't it be cool to reread Harry Potter only to see a different way it could have ended?
Thank you, now I know what how to finish my series, since I keep coming up with "parallel" endings. I'll remember to acknowledge you, somewhere, as the mastermind of all this: "... and lastly, I would like to thank some dude on the internet, who gave me this idea of watching the world burn by creating multiple, alternate endings. And, since I speak more than 2 languages (muahahaha) I'll also make sure some of the dialogues are completely different. And send some related stories to different publishing houses, while I watch how people wonder why two authors under different "pen-names" have so much in common.
