Gay marriage should be legalized. You don't hear that coming form a christian very often, but Jesus taught to love others NO MATTER WHAT. There is a fine line between allowing and accepting things. If you follow God/Jesus then you should accept gays as who they are but not allow them into your life circle so that you will not be dragged into other sin (which will happen even if you don't do this, sin is inevitable in a human). The before sentence is what is taught in the bible, not to put down/humiliate/kill LGBTs.
I can't think of the proper words for how wrong this post is. You're just as wrong as the other bigots, just from a different direction.
How about you people learn what is taught in books that were written after the Bible, ffs. Or maybe just learn what it means to be a decent fucking human being. God, you're worse the than the people that are painfully obvious about how bigoted and hateful they are.
Well sorry that you are just another bigot that is not accepting of my views because they're christian. Sorry for trying to tell gays that just because people put them down doesn't mean that everyone is going to put them down. Sorry for trying to tell the world that not every fucking christian out their is the same. Sorry for telling the world that most homophobes use religion as a smokescreen for their own hate for homosexuality. Sorry for telling the world that I actually love everyone no matter the race/religion/language/hair style/sexual attraction. Sorry for telling the world that their are believers who know what they are talking about and not just regurgitating what they were taught by their parents and pastors. Don't reply to me. You obviously didn't take the time to understand what my earlier post meant and just wanted to bash me and look smart and meaningfu. And what books after the bible are you talking about? Human philosophy on athiest trying to analyze the bible?
Well I now see that you have been here to obstruct my views in two posts. If i'm so clearly wrong about my "Christian who tries to bridge the divide between what we are actually taught about homosexuality and what most people hear from stupid priests on television over homosexuality" point of view then let me hear yours.
You: "If you follow God/Jesus then you should accept gays as who they are but not allow them into your life circle so that you will not be dragged into other sin"
Not all that long ago in this country, we used to have a little thing called "separate, but equal". That's what your statement reminded me of. You're not as enlightened as you think you are.
Probably the addition of the word "regular" to marriage. That word usually isn't there. Marriage is marriage, that's it. "Gay marriage", then, is really an oxymoron in many people's minds.
