I'm going to give a breakdown. The sun is a sphere. The earth is a sphere. The earth is tilted at a 28 degree angle. During summer and winter, the earth rolls upward so South America and South Africa gets warm weather, then rolls downward so North America and parts of Europe get warmth. The arctic doesn't melt too much because it's too far from civilization. So who's the dumbass now?

Not sure what part of the disscussion you are trying to help. Mostly because that, while it's true, doesn't support any of the parts. And I'm not sure about the last part, but I have to research a bit to confirm it.
