“The concept that really gets the goat of the gay-hater, the idea that really spins their melon and sickens their stomachs is that most terrible and terrifying of all human notions, love.
That one can love another of the same gender, that is what the homophobe really cannot stand. Love in all eight tones and all five semitones of the world's full octave.
Love as Agape, Eros and Philos; love as infatuation, obsession and lust; love as torture, euphoria, ecstasy and oblivion (this is beginning to read like a Calvin Klein perfume catalogue); love as need, passion and desire.”
― Stephen Fry, Moab Is My Washpot
I loath that phrase! It upsets me that people use it to describe situations in real life. It upsets me for the fact that people dont stop to think if they are hurting anyone by saying such phrase. I mean I dont get it, who in their right mind would make such phrase? How would people like it if i say 'Thats soo straight!'?
Its stupid and unappreciated. Its disrespectful and rude. Its ignorant, it is absolutely dangerous.
Whenever anyone says that i dont just sit back and let them get away with it, I'm up in their face in half a second flat. I wont allow such behaviour. So please, please. If you hear that phrase, react the same way that these amazing people like Martin Freeman would react.
I had forgotten his name, but when you said who it was I thought: "thats exactly what he would say, and probably give him the fingers with his angriest face"
