I worked in the ER for 4 years. I don't get why, but it seems to bring out the worst in good people, and the crazy/hateful in jerks. Not everyone of course, but holy eff, emotions run high.
I currently work in the er, not to mention I've spent the last 11 years as a hospital employee, and I could write a whole dissertation on that subject, but FS isn't really the place.
I will say, however, that...
1. Transporters aren't allowed to apply or adjust restraints. Hell, not even Phlebs are when they need to draw blood from a restrained patient. Only nurses are allowed to do this.
2. A "crazy" patient wouldn't have only a Transporter standing between them and a unit full of innocent/unaware patients, visitors, and workers.
3. I've never heard of Hospitals hiring high school students as Transporters.
