One of things that always bugged me about the "X-TREME" era in the late 90's, early 2000's was the Liefeld inspired representations of woman. They all had gigantic clown tits and tiny waists that defied the laws of nature and man.

I completely agree with you, I stopped reading so many comics or never started on some specifically because of the way women were represented. They still have a long way to go.

I am, however, quite happy that the new Ms. Marvel is a Muslim girl from Jersey. Have you ever heard of The 99? They're a Muslim superhero team that represents each of the 99 known exclusive qualities of Allah.
