Some kids did the exact same thing at my school. It was a nice gesture, it's just that I didn't know who it was from and the same generic messages was written on every single one. It really didn't mean that much to anyone and it kind of defeated the purpose...
I know, but if they see everyone has got the same note then it seems a little empty, at least to me. I agree ones like "You are important' serve as positive reminders, and are good, but ones like 'I care about you' would strike me as ineffective as the person writing it didn't even know them :/
NO, that is not the same thing! It's even called CHRISTmas and still no one remembers to get me anything (except those wise men - but what am I supposed to do with frankincense?). God doesn't even remember :'(
According to family guy Jesus doesn't watch small tropical islands. Such as the island chris went to and married the 14 year old.

WHOA! I am going to kill myself-maybe a random note from someone that I don't know, that is not personalized, will help me get past all of my problems-abusive parents, substance abuse, depression, bullying, bad grades, everything. THANK GOD.

Just a little something that makes you smile can maybe give you a little hope in humanity helps, at least it does more good than making a negative comment.
Little things from strangers can actually be very meaningful, I've suffered from depression and perked up because a stranger or acquaintance said something nice to me. It does matter!
Good luck figuring out which!
