Marijuana is a drug. If you can get high and stupid from it then it's a drug. Medical drugs do not count because they are suppose to help you get healthy, not high, hippie.
Marijuana is used for medical purposes- it gets murky as to what is a drug and what's not. Whiskey used to be used to treat colic, you know.

Yes, but did it truly help the babies or just made them drunk or dead (alcohol poisoning). Many drugs seem to be good for medical purposes but, after much trails and error, they are not. Also, don't do the "all natural thing" argument. Pollution can be natural but, do we want it?
My grandparents swore by it- and my mom is just a bit off center. The definition of pollution speaks against nature, actually, being "the presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance or thing that has harmful or poisonous effects."
One man's medication can be another man's drug, or poison, pollution, etc. It completely depends on how it's used, distributed, and marketed. Illegal drugs have the same chemical compounds that are found in legal ones, narcotics, barbiturates, etc. It all depends on definition.
OHHHH, now don't you feel silly?
