(When I was young and naive) I asked a woman why does she wear her hair like that if everyone around her doesn't like it. She told me, "Because I like it, and that's more important than what strangers think." I like to think that exchange helped shape my life.

It doesn't work that way. If you want to feel good about yourself some people find it makes them feel more confident if they look a certain way. That's why it's so wrong to judge people on what they wear or makeup or their style because each person has their own interpretation of beauty.
