They made a picture book with collections of spongebob stories and for that one it was him next to a Christmas tree in his underwear I dont know if that's it but it seems legit.
Super late comment but they aired the picture in the first few times they aired the episode, at the very end. If I remeber it correctly it's basically a group picture, and then spongebob is standing there like "lol I have no friends" xD
