We'll at least he'll have Death as a friend forever. That's pretty cool. And he'll get to look after everyone he loves and take them to their other loved ones when they die. Afterwards he can stay a young wizard forever - so like a vampire, just with better skills and a less questionable diet.
This is exactly what makes it worse! He'll have to go through so much pain and while everyone is reunited with their loved ones in death, he never will be. That being said, I honestly like the way you look at it :)
To make you all feel better, Harry had already died and he used the resurrection stone stone to comeback, he would only have been immortal if he had killed Voldemort before Voldemort killed him. But if harry had killed Voldemort first then Voldemort would also be immortal because Harry is a horcrux. Have a good day! :D
It says that "Neither can live while the other survives." Meaning that they cannot live in peace until the other is dead. And in the end, Voldemort's own spell rebounds and kills him. Harry took away each horcrux and allowed himself to be hit with the killing curse to cut away the bonds that tied Voldemort to life. He did not die because even though Lily's protection was no longer on him, Voldemort still had a little bit of it in him. Voldemort was using the elder wand as well. In their last clash, it was also said that the wand refused to kill its true master. That is why Harry had the choice of moving on to the afterlife or go back and finish what he started. After that, Harry became the same as anyone else. He wasn't a horcrux anymore and he had fulfilled the prophecy.
Plus, J K Rowling implied he would one day die. Harry said he intended to return the elder wand to Dumbledore's grave and let its power die with him. That was after he used it to repair his phoenix feather wand.
