The Meaning Of a Sunset

It's actually the atmosphere filtering out the blue spectrum !

My friends dad, who I was pretty close to, had an alcohol problem, as I do. He had access to a lake and when the sun went down it made an image much like the one pictured above. The last time I saw him as I was saying goodbye he shook my hand and said "Luke, you don't need any alcohol, you just need that sunset like we talked about". That was the last thing he said to me. A few weeks later he got extra drunk and brought out his shotgun and started shooting at his son and his friends. His son had to grab another gun and shoot his own father down. Sunsets are the most beautiful thing in my life.

But then sometimes, you don't get to see it.
