I'm a bit confused with this prom thing. Is attending a prom like the high point of one's life in America? Here it's not a big deal and usually girl asks guy. And by asking i mean just ask, not some fancy stuff like that ^

in america it's like a high schoolers right of passage and its just a really memorable night that means a lot to teens and usually guys ask the girls in creative ways because its fun and sweet

And it really sucks if no one ever asked you and you never went... in all four years... like an anti-social loser... who just wanted friends and to have fun in highschool and is now suffering to find herself in college and OMG I'M GUNNA DIE ALONE AND OLD AND I'LL NEVER FIND THE ONE AND ASDFGHJWWAHHHHHHHHH! x~x

I was just asked to prom the other day in a really big and public way, which was really cool, but I don't really want to go with him. It's just so AWKWARD- not romantic, possibly sweet, but definitely weird if you don't like the guy and feel obligated to say yes. Just food for thought.
