I prefer a conservative dress code. If your shorts are so short that I can see your pockets hanging out from under them, there's a problem. That being said, the reasons schools give for such a dress code, namely that "it distracts boys," is idiotic and this flyer-maker is absolutely correct in how wrong it is. So while I would probably be on the opposite side of this person in a debate, I applaud her attack on an incorrect argument.
You represent your establishment with what you wear when you associate with it and until the acceptable dress to impress becomes short shorts and tank tops, I suggest that you make your school proud.
I am a man, and I agree with this statement. It is, after all, all I do. Sometimes I'll be naughty and wear short socks.

I don't even get the big deal about school uniforms. In the Netherlands pretty much every school has banned them. I can wear what I want as long as im not naked, and of course you can't wear some things, like a bikini in class, but short skirts and tank tops are just everyday outfits in summer.

My high school was like that too. We took pride in individual expression through unique outfits.
School dress codes aren't meant to hide women. They are to reduce distractions in the classroom. How can students be fully attentive to what they are learning in the classroom if they are thinking "I wonder where Molly got those shoes, they are to die for!" Yes it stifles the students' individuality and might seem uncool but school is not supposed to be a popularity contest. It is supposed to be a place to learn the basic skills needed to be successful in life.
I think that they're not talking about uniforms, but about skinshowing clothes, such as shorts and all that stuff, so comparisons will be there.
However, If young people couldn't put up with the fact that in real life there'll be women dressing themselves as they want to and, if that caused them to be incapable of being 'fully attentive' to whatever they're doing if there's a skirt around (I do think that the point's not to avoid judgements on clothes but to 'prevent' those undesirable-for-every-respectful-school-animal-thoughts-you-perverts), we would be raising a generation with skills to success, but an absurd inability to perform them.
But that's only my opinion.
I was trying to point out that it not only distracts guys but also girls. I would even say that girls are more distracting than guys. There is always that one group of girls that will bully people with name calling or by looking down on every other girl. I live in Texas where it gets as hot as hell and schools here don't even allow shorts that are shorter than finger length and tank tops are not allowed unless it's over something else.
Your primary thoughts for school should be your studies, not what you're wearing to make some fashion statement. You're supposed to look presentable and somewhat professional in an academic setting. Wear whatever you want otherwise, but a school dress code does not perpetuate "rape culture" imho.
Imho girls should not wear extremely short skirts/ shorts for the same reason that boys shouldn't be allowed to wear shorts that sag down around their knees, it is not professional and isn't conducive to a learning environment. If you can't sit down without having to cover or cross your legs to avoid providing a view up your skirt, then you probably shouldn't be wearing it. A message for both groups, no one wants to see your underwear, so why don't we all just be professional about this and wear clothes that don't show it off.
I'm talking about the trend where guys will where shorts so that the waist of the shorts is much lower than what was intended. Sorry for the confusion.
My school banned a certain type of jeans and we can't wear anything showing our back. Our shorts have to be to the knees, no tank tops. Nothing showing any cleavage. It's actually really ridiculous..
The problem with letting people show whatever they want is that they will. I know A LOT of people I am willing to pay good money to if they would just cover up what they have.
My school is really strict they don't let us wear tights unless a shirt covers our behind and front shirt has to be finger length they tried to give a girl a dress code because her boots were a little big on her and once in a while she would drag her foot
I agree. But some girls want to show it off so it not men fault either. It just that they get horny to girls like that and the girl is going to complain about it when see was showing off her booty and shit. Also when girls do show it off its because it hot ass shit outside so they don't have no choice, those girls have no fault it the girls who always wanna show it off and make the guy think since some girls who do show it off , who are sluts, makes every guy think all the other girls seem like they want the dick.

I have no idea what you just stated, would you mind rephrasing?
Sorry in was typing fast because I was mad.
What I'm trying to say is that some girl in schools act like slut and to on and "show it off" as in showing guy their butt and cleavage and make the guys think when a girl dress that way they want the "d" when the other girl is giving her body up and the other wears clothes like that if its hot as a oven outside or it make them feel confident about their body and not really in it for the "d" as the first girl who does to be like everyone else. I hope that helped.
