Only if he grabbed a total stranger and continued after she said "no". If he'd gone up in 1950-whenever that was taken and grabbed an unwilling woman and done that to her he would still have been in trouble.
Yes, but databunny is still correct. She was a complete stranger and figured that falling limp would be the best option as opposed to trying to fight him off.

I dont think people realize that while she was a total stranger to him, he was doing it out of joy and she wasnt opposed to it happening. This wasnt at all sexual assault.

Wiliaso, did you read the article I posted? Apparently the woman did not know what was happening and didn't want it. Of course, we can't verify that the man and woman who identified themselves as those in the picture really are who they say they are.
If the man and woman cannot be verified then how can we be sure that this was not consensual?...seems to me that those writing the article are assuming they have the right people and making biased claims based on this assumption.
And I am, of course also making an assumption that the article posted on feministing.com is biased based on the fact that this site is dedicated to supporting the feminist movement (not that it is a bad thing). I just think that if you are going to make claim you should have an unbiased source to back it up with.
All sources have biases. I presented the article as another view point. If they are right about the man and woman, then this was a sexual assault and that man just died. If not, who knows?
You're right, every article has a degree of bias, but it is up to the reader to see that bias and determine whether or not it is too biased. If it is then they should look for a less biased source, or if you want to be over scholarly, look for an opposing view and then make up your mind. Too often we are victims of confirmation bias.

Of course, which is why it's important to consider view points such as feminism. Otherwise we are just taking the traditional patriarchal view.
