They got Darwin all wrong. In the comics, Darwin wouldn't have died, because he can literally adapt to ANY situation. Once when he was fighting hulk, he kept getting stronger and stronger, till his body realized that he couldn't beat hulk, so he just teleported to another location. And when the living island was about to kill him and his original team mates, he converted himself and them into a form of energy which allowed them to be absorbed by Vulcan and thus saved all their lives. He's under rated if you ask me.

I absolutely agree I found him so cool in the comics, and then in the movie they just killed him like his powers were useless.

Precisely! Although there is the possibility that he isn't dead in the movies, that he converted himself into energy there too. Its just a possibility though.

He was also white and really rather unattractive. At least in my X-Men volume. Ultimate X-Men: Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire.

I think they're referring to the strong racism and hate towards the blacks in the 60's.
