I'm a hipster in a fandom… how does that work?

Okay, sure. We'll pretend you're a hipster. Sure. Whatever you want in order to protect your fragile little ego. Hi "hipster." Bye "hipster."

Okay. But seriously, love? I mean I get that you all look up to a character or are infatuated by one that in your eyes is perfect. But LOVE? Cmon guys, I am and avid reader too but love isn't smthn we throw around lightly. So exaggeration much?

We know were not really in love. It's just a bit of fun.

I dunno. Sometimes it gets pretty serious.

So is everyone just joking when they say stuff like this?

No... I can honestly say I'm in love with a fictional character...

Ok but the fuck though like, you've never even met them or had a conversation with them everything you "know" about them is through them talking to other fictional characters that also aren't real. I could understand attraction but true love is a two way thing. I think you may be telling yourself you love this fictional character because you don't think someone could ever love you back and so you attach to someone who is completely unattainable. That's just my thought though I don't know. This is a long comment for a two year old post.

Nothing against hipsters, but we have it worse than you do.

But aren't hipsters in love with real people and the fact that there is hope, that tiny amount makes it worse than something you know won't ever happen. Eventually you come to accept it.

It's just my opinion, but I think we have it worse because we know for sure that it could never happen. At least hipsters still have a chance.

True... fangirls could never get their guy. Hipster people do have a chance, however thin it may be.

But when those people, actually exist, it is painful to watch them fall in love with someone else

It's just as painful to read about, I promise.
