Y'know, a bit over a century ago, the colors were reversed. Blue was considered a soft, feminine color, and pink was considered a strong masculine color.
I think the logic follows that the child might want to grow up to be like the doll/action figure. Though toys shouldn't be stereotyped, the logic does make sense.
Not really. There are plenty of young boys who grow up with either one and it doesn't change them. Toys are for all genders unless operated by your genitalia. In that case, they're not for children anyway.
