Oh, by the downvotes should I assume you agree and support the overprotective, life stifling helicopter mom?
.
Parents that do this to their children stunt their social growth. I'm not saying let them run amok, just let them grow up.
.
The young lady as depicted, for the sake of argument, 13-22, has missed out on nine years of social growth. Barring some fucked up unhealthy relationships... to be where she should be at 22, she will be 31. Factor in now, some time as a "normal" adult, with normal adult relationships. When she reaches "31" she'll be 40. Good luck getting grandkids from a normal relationship.

Bitch, this is the Internet. Get use to people not agreeing with you.
I can understand the no dating in high school to a certain extent- most of the "relationships" I saw in high school were cyclically unhealthy and consisted of two children hoping the other would somehow make them better. But college? That should be a time when you spread your wings and learn what you want of of life, and what type of person you want to share your life with.
I was curious about that too... my assumption is that her parents are paying for school and therefore still hold sway over her life, despite her being an adult.
