There is no being honest in this situation. For someone you love to tell you they don't find you attractive is the most heart destroying thing that could happen.
I agree. Communication is key. If you break it off cause she gained weight you'll look like a jerk. Talk to her. Might be she wants to drop some weight and just can't do it alone.
Yeah, this isn't healthy. She may actually need to have her thyroid tested, as well as her blood glucose, and should absolutely see a doctor. I suggest talking about it from a medical perspective. This amount of gain can be very detrimental to ones health. It may even be a sign of poly cystic ovarian syndrome or another serious illness.
I suggest changing your own routine to include more exercise and better food. Subconsciously we choose better things for ourselves when those that are around us do.
It's impossible that she hasn't noticed and that it isn't effecting her self image. Trying to make her feel secure in your relationship will help her to open up about what she needs to do to help herself.
if you notice that she not really over eating, but has gained weight anyway, tell her that you have decided to go get a over all physical and ask her when last time she had one. if you or both of you don't have issuance find a free clinic. women who develop hypothyroidism normally do in their early 20's. other symptoms are low energy, dry skin, bumpy finger nails, racing heartbeat. even if it turns out to be something else such as depression she still to be seeing a dr. best of luck.
Here's an idea: Say /you/ need help losing weight/getting more fit, and ask her for support. Ask her to help you out by doing it with you. That way, you can get her to lose some weight and get healthier without hurting her feelings.
