Seriously, women make up nearly half of all gamers now. http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/08/tech/gaming-gadgets/female-gamers/ They could have just said gamer.

I wouldn't say Half, as its mostly a Male- Dominated culture, but there is no denying there are alot of Female gamers out there

45% according to the survey. The culture may be geared towards men, but the females are there.

Okay, so I get that you're making fun of me, that's fine. I don't think the headline was some big misogynistic ploy to further oppress all women. I do think that it's a subtle point of inaccuracy based on a stereotype. It was unnecessary and doesn't really add to the title.
