That's really nice and all, but I can just see some city official fining the homeless for illegal housing or some such crap like that and causing more trouble for the homeless.
No joke, this is what I want to do for my house when I finish college. Find some scrap, nail it together, call it a home. Use public showers and Laundromats and the like for utilities. The only problem is that I'd probably be cited for violating some city ordinance or another. And I'd want to make my own food, but I'd need utilities for that.

If only everyone played their part in restoring the planet, then war and pollution would die down.
Aside from the issues everybody-and-their-grandmothers have mentioned regarding state laws and illegal housing and shit. We also have to remember that asshole teens exist who would do something horrible like break into them, break them, or wheel them into a river while the owner is sleeping inside.
These aren't kennels. Kennels are closed from the outside, and animals are forced inside them. Really big fucking difference asshat.
The only way this could be better is if the man secured jobs for the homeless people.
