Say you don't like eating carrots so much so that you will never eat one. Carrots still exist and for many people it's their favorite food. Tolerance would be accepting that you will always see them in the stores and knowing their are carrot loving people out there. Even though you don't understand how they could possibly like them. Ignorance would be saying that because you don't like the carrots, there should be no carrots, you don't want to see them in the stores, and there is something wrong with someone who likes them. Just because you don't. Which view seems more enlightened?
