I had something like this happen to me. (Except without the manager part.) I worked at one in a gas station and Some of the employees from the gas station would often come get a sub. Well one of the girls came and ordered three different subs and when I went to ring her up, all of her cards got declined. I felt bad for her, so I just said hey no worries, I'll pay for this one. So i got my card, paid for it and gave her the subs, and she just walked off without saying a thing. Like no thank you or anything. Not that I expected it, but it would have been nice.
Nope. Nothing. She never talked to me again after that! But I didn't mind that much. I didn't do it to get a thank you, I just did because I felt like being nice that day.
Don't be too severe in judging her, maybe she was too ashamed to say smth. If smth like that happened to me i'd be really ashamed (though i'd thank you of course).
I almost hit the dislike button because I was thinking about ur ex-manager!! But what u did was so kind and sweet!! We need more people like u in this world!!!
Why not instead of wanting other people to be like this.. why don't we become those people and make this world a better place. We dont have to be exactly like this but we could be nicer and get more involved to change what we don't like about the "system"
I don't think they're bragging so much as making a point about how awful some people are (the manager) and that the less fortunate have the same rights and needs as everyone else.
