Particularly great things. There is a reason people from all over the world come and pay for an American education instead of receiving a cheaper one at home.
We must have very different loans then as mine is not cleared after 30years :( I took mine out back in 1998...was the first year that loans were introduced after grants were no longer available
And also, the threshold is certainly not 21K...I'm on less and still paying my student load each month. I believe it's 16K for those of us who have already left education although this obviously may be different for those anout to graduate. The boundaries do change quite frequently. When I graduated it was 10grand or more! Oh how times change eh!?

Sorry if I'm just misreading this alll but it hasn't been 30 years since 1998... so... that's why you'd still be paying.. (Again, sorry if I'm just completely misreading this)
Of course, you have to TAKE the money from someone to be able to give it to the college students. But, at least someone can swing that Modern Dance major, or maybe Racial Studies.
There ARE government loans and grants in the us. Loans are just that, loans, they must be repaid, either through student loan payments or higher taxes. I already paid my own way, I do not intend to pay yours as well.
