Why was that comment even necessary? Why do people feel the need to be purposefully nasty to others? If they didn't like her comment, they could have just as easily scrolled past it.
These sorts of comments are necessary when someone is going on like this, and yet they aren't doing anything to better themselves. Not sure about this particular situation, but too many people these days think they can be super picky when they themselves have little or nothing to offer.
She's kinda right though. Not that I'm into rednecks or anything, nor do I think that "farm boys" are what she imagines they are - she probably imagines them as the TV farm boys with a nice body, light tan and a cute smile, but in reality they're just men who are used to working with their hands and have a bad personal hygiene. To get to the point, however, I agree that men/boys nowadays are pussies. Taking good care of yourself is just fine, but if you spend twice as much time in the bathroom than I do and whine when you have to get your hands dirty, then you're not the droid I am looking for.
As someone who is southern, not all of them have bad hygiene. They look like it due to stepping in cow/horse/pig/goat/sheep/chicken shit all done.
But yeah some of them do have bad hygiene.
