Yes, indeed. This sort of naming convention at the time put my off buying the Nintendo Gameboy's rival handheld system the "Atari Lynx" because I am not a medium sized wild cat found in Eurasia & North America.

Game Boss. Game Time. Game Head. Game whatever. The name refers to the device, not the player. There are bigger battles to be won. She's young. She's just learning to have an opinion and how to voice it. That doesn't mean all our opinions are valid. Even this one.

Exactly. If you want to increase women's right it's perfectly correct and honorable. For example, Kuwait is an emerging country in this, and it's great. But we shouldn't let all this microscopic insignificant things become a huge problem. It could have also simply be named like this because of lack of imagination and the creator had a son who played with it. It doesn't mean that it's a psychological way of saying to girls that they shouldn't play with that or other "boy" sports/games. Then everything can be called inequality, even when you go in a shoe shop and see men shoes and women shoes.

Maybe people should focus less on names and stop trying to stir-up issues where there don't need to be. Having the name boy on something doesn't mean a girl can't play it. Having the name girl doesn't mean a boy can't be interested. How about instead of trying to make a scene and telling everyone and everything that they need to cater to everyone... we all just shut the hell up and do whatever we want regardless of gender/age/race/religion and what-not. The more we make these things issues and draw attention to them, the longer it will take for people to actually BREAK those barriers. Don't blame others for your own insecurities.

Guys gameboy sounds good and thats what it is. If stupid feminists are going to argue over it, just let them

This has nothing to do with being a stupid feminist, my point is just that I think it's kind of sad that kids are being told what they can play with. Boys are being told that they are supposed to like cars and superheroes, while girls should prefer barbie and princesses. Wouldn't it be great if little boys could dress up like a fairy and girls could wish for a toy car for Christmas, without anyone telling them that it's wrong?

Its kind of exaggerated on the internet, but usually kids aren't told that stuff like that is wrong. My home country is largely homophobic, (which is because most of it is bullshit 3rd world), but people still think its cute and funny when a little boy dresses up like a princess. A girl cousin of mine who lives there loves cads, and nobody thinks that's weird. The examples you see online are actually very rare, but they get blown out of proportion. For example, most Chritians aren't evil haters of everything, yet lately they have been portrayed that way. So yeah, the entire feminist movement, though it is a noble cause, uses these rare incidents to justify the abuse of their name. Again, there are good feminists as well, but the ones who aren't striving for equality, just for the benefit of one gender, are wrong. Honestly the word femenist should be retired as the name itself refers to a specific gender, and as such is abused.
