The things is though, how often do you look at photos on your phone compared to if they are framed or in a book.

And how often do you look in photo albums or, more often than not, go through that gigantic stack of photos you got developed but never bothered to frame or put in an album? You can print out and frame a digital picture just as easy as you could an old picture. Faster and easier actually since you wouldn't have to go to a store to develop them first.

The sad thing is, if something happens to your device before you can print or save them the photos are lost forever.

I don't know...I think so many folks are so hung up on nostalgia when, in reality, photos are available to so many more people now. There are whole chunks of my childhood that exist only in memories because my folks didn't own a camera and definitely couldn't afford studio photos. Now, even when I've had a cheap, off-brand, pre-paid phone, I could snap a couple low-quality shots of my kid's first birthday. I think it's kind of neat that technology is accessible to more people than ever.

My baby pictures weren't taken on phones and I'm only in high school.

It said the last generation whose baby picture won't be taken on phones, meaning more than likely your children's pictures will be.
