We don't need a late military. If we spent the several billion that is spent on military supplies on education or down thing important, America would be a better country
I don't really like the analogy that President Obama made. It's like he is equating naval war-fighting ships to outdated methods, which is untrue. We need a strong Navy to guard the seas, and protect our trade routes- even if you're not a supporter of any international conflicts we may have had, the navy is still mighty important.
And I'm pretty sure that the military does in fact still use bayonets. Obviously not exclusively, but they are still in use.
And I'm not saying this to bash President Obama. I admittedly do not agree with his policies, but as someone interested in the Navy, this just doesn't sit well with me.
The president said we use less Bayonets not none at all. and the analogy was made to make the point that even though we may have less ships. the capabilities of those vessels as well as the 3700 aircrafts the Navy has far exceed the capabilities of the ships in 1917.
I hate how the internet poses Romney as an idiot and Obama as this swag dude. I disagree and agree with both of them but Obama is seen as some sort of celebrity and I dont understand why
