Haha heard about this on the radio. Apparently he had politely asked the woman to parent her child, she then got in his face yelling at him to mind his own business blah blah blah. So he then bought all the pies.
People are responsible for their own actions. I understand that there are some childhood circumstances that may be difficult to overcome or may leave the person mentally ill. But I don't feel that the "pie guy" is to blame at all.
Why do we make someone a hero for being a total douche bag? Why does someone get respect for being belligerent and intentionally problematic, for no reason other than spite? Is this really what the world is coming to?
It's not heroic to ruin someone's day just because you're in a bad mood. Heroes are people who make a positive contribution to their society -- not people who take every opportunity to make others miserable. This man exhibited no virtuous behavior whatsoever; just a selfish and sadistic sense of humor.
Not a very good example. Stopping a robbery is for the good of society in general. You guys are trying to make excuses for this guy just because it's funny. Just read the words in the post: it is stated clearly that he did it out of spite only and just wanted to ruin the the family's day.
Obviously the kid's a brat, but so what? A hero doesn't act like a d***head just because he doesn't like someone. A selfish coward does.

Read the entire article, the mother and child were rather asking for it. Sure he even said he did it to ruin their day, but your argument as to what a her should be is invalid. What a hero should be is subjective to the individual. To the Nazis, Hitler was a hero. to the police in Gotham, batman was not the good guy (at 1st). And there have been plenty of comics where heroes (including Spiderman, wolverine and even Iron Man) have done things out of spite. Its human nature to want to get back at someone who pisses you off.
And as I said, heroism is subjective. You view it as screwed, but others would see it as a spoiled brat and his irresponsible parent getting a wake up call.
