The kansas city public library

That is fucking literally what I said in my head as I saw it. I swear to god maybe it's some physiological thing that when you look at giant books you just see beauty.

I feel like libraries are so underrated in the majority of cities, at least in America, and they should be celebrated... like this.

It indeed is beautiful, but in real it's 'just' the parking house for the library ;)

I was just thinking that! I live in KC and have cards to the 7 library districts (not including university or the private one.) I don't recognize this!

Structurally, it looks like the one off Minneapolis St in KCK but I was there within the last 6 mo getting a rare book & it didn't look like this.

I live in Kansas City, too! It's absolutely beautiful how well they constructed some of our buildings (:
