One morning at school, I didn't pray with the others and the Superior Mother (principal) called me to her office. I don't know, I just remember she implied I was being abused and that she made me cry. I was a good student.
Yeah, it's worst if you're atheist, although with my classmates, I learned that the one that actually are religious are just normal people. I mean, when I started going there i was a kid, i thought they were coocoo
If the government votes over the ages to change it, then I think it's something to consider. And also, it may not be a law, but it's something that the great majority of US schools adopt and teach kids to do. It doesn't have to be a law because it's something we're impressing on kids. It implies that the government is connected to the christian church. It was a tool against communism, but that doesn't apply now, so why use that? It doesn't make sense
If people get upset over it, it's a problem. But that's only because this society has become very touchy about everything. I personally don't say the under God bit only because it makes me uncomfortable. I don't care if others say it or not. I just want it remembered that the USA is a religion-open place, and that is only one specific religion mentioned very often.
Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on the term "God." It can mean whatever it needs to mean for whoever is saying it. A Muslim could say the pledge without feeling they are referring to any "God" other than their own.
Besides, there is no such thing as "the Christian church."
I think saying that it was a tool against communism is oversimplifying it. The pledge existed well before the Cold War, and it has persisted afterwards because it is not just a defense, it is a source of unity. The ideals behind it are just as important today as ever.
If someone is allowed to believe in a god, then others should be allowed not to. America has freedom of religion, so it offends even me that this is what (my) country has been reduced to.
Don't worry guest, it's not. The fact that it's a post here on funsubstance means it's something unusual. If it was an everyday occurrence, people would have no reason to make funny posts about it online. It wouldn't be funny.

omfg its pennsyltuckey from orange is the new black
And you are shocked some fanatic blows shit up in their distorted views of their bible(koran)?Get a grip on reality you dumb fanatic christian assholes
Hey woah calm down and listen to thatoneguy, not all of us are assholes although we do screw up sometimes. You are just focusing on the fanatic part of Christianity and not the true Christians who actually listen to what God has to say and do believe in love your neighbor. You can't assume a whole religion based on one person
Well first thing that's not photoshop go get a bible and read it ,,,, second I'm very sorry but when you mess with god or Jesus it's horrible that is the worst sin you could ever do who ever messes with them and then realizes what they did was wrong go kneel down and go ask god to forgive you and it's not nice to skip "under god" cause it's your pledge
Besides, there is no such thing as "the Christian church."
