Cyber bullying goes as far as internet connection, but as portrayed in the movie "Cyberbully". A person who is harassed on the internet always needs to know what the others are saying about them. It will keep them coming back no matter what. It practically takes there lives over.
And this is where you can build strength and a backbone. Though it does not always succeed, I've seen a few who developed from this and stop giving fucks about what people say.
Actually it's happened to me before, this girl was humiliating me over something so stupid, and I just had to keep checking. It's like... I was look for a grip to turn it over and defend myself. I never got it. I don't really remember how she stopped harassing me, but that was mortifying.

@1st guest. I have dealt with bullying throughout my childhood and I'll tell you one thing the day I quit caring became the saddest day of my life. When you stop caring about life and death your mind clears. When you stop caring for others. Friendships diminish. When you lose faith in others and trust. Strangers become enemies. When depression sets in nothing is adequate. Everything needs to be perfect. The day I stopped caring I might as well have died.
And yes, we should teach kids to not care so much about what others think, but I think a lot of people assume that's the only step we need to take, rather than /actually stopping bullies/, because oh, they can just turn off the computer. It's not that big a deal.
