Interesting. Guess he wanted to go out on his own terms instead of spending the final years of his life an old husk of a man. Very sad indeed.

He was also an addict and alcoholic and he lived with depression for most of his life so Parkinson's wasn't the only reason is my guess

He may have struggled with those demons, but there was always the possibility he could overcome them. With Parkinson's there's no hope, so I would imagine it was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.
