Anytime I'm at the mall with my friends, they glare at us. Like they're executing us to cause trouble because we're teenagers. Our mall has it's own patrol of cops specifically for dealing with teenagers
Nope. I ain't do shit. The cops literally came after me and my friends for standing. All the benches were taking in the seating area and my mom was chatting with us, cuz she was our ride. The cop came up to us and was like "you guys can't be loitering, you are blocking people from walking" (we weren't in anyone's way, it was the seating area) and then he realized my mom and said "I'm sorry ma'am I didn't see you there" and left us alone. It happened to us multiple times. There could be a few groups of adults standing and talking and they'll come after us. The teenagers
Maybe it's just me thinking of the mall nearby, but standing in the seating area is a pain in the ass. There's barely room to walk between the tables, so maybe that's why?
Yeah, that's on you.
I personally love cops, especially the ones who'll slow down and chat with kids, even in the bad neighborhoods. A friend of mine grew up in the hood and was 'raised' by a druggie. Some cops had to deal with his neighbor and one of them convinced my friend that joining the army was better than joining a street gang.
My dad's in the police, so I always feel like he's sent people to check up on me whenever I'm out with friends...different to most people but still paranoid xD
You feel paranoid because you don't want a ticket, but I'm pretty sure you don't feel physically threatened. Cops protect us and try their best to put criminals away. They get a bad rap because a couple out of millions of cops do something bad and the media is all over it making them look horrible. But most cops are great people just trying to keep their cities safe.

Zachg good for you, I wish you all the best. Take it from me, it's not easy, but I enjoy it every day and the small amount of times you get to help people outshine all the abuse you get and the general hatred from the people you work to protect.

Hope you make it.
