Assuming you drink the shot when you take that piece and not you opponent whose piece was taken, this is a great way of balancing the game. The better you do against your opponent the more your judgement will deteriorate, bringing you down to their level.

I....guess that works? You shouldn't be punished for doing well though. Like playing beer pong and having to drink any cup you make instead of the other team. Or Quarters and having to drink every time you make it. Just seems less fun that way.

It's less fun, for both players, when the game is dominated by one side.

But how would you remember which pieces represent the actual pieces once you start moving around? :s

You just remember which piece is which they're all different
