It would most likely be poorly planned. I'm no technician, but each of those plugs that comes with your phone has a specific rating, specifying the rate at which electricity flows into your phone. The outlet would only be able to charge a few devices the correct way. It's either it charges the device slowly with the plug but quickly without it, or the other way around.
this is not really true. the plugs that come with your device are optimized for your device, yes, but all USB ports will charge it without damaging it. think of it like this: if that was true, how would we be able to charge and sync phones from our different computers' USB ports? besides, all USB ports have to have a similar power output to be considered real USB. don't worry about it.
Not really. Using computers' USB ports has never been recommended for charging devices. They're mainly for data transfer. Though I don't think the computers are dangerous, your phone will charge a hell of a lot slower than it will with the charger
It's ironic because he told her that the outlets are for specifically for iphones (the usb port) and yet she still continues to use the plug instead of the usb port.
