I know it's the Alzheimer's but it's still awkward

My grandmother would tried to set me up with my 58 yr old single uncle and I was only 19. She would tell me how great he was an add he is single and then ask if I knew him I would say yes he is my moms twin brother. Lol then she think for a minute and go o that is right you are my granddaughter.

That's happened to my sister and me, ever since my great-grandfather's dementia worsened. It's quite awkward to visit him.
