When my Grandma would do it, they were always folded neatly and they were nice and smooth, but when I do it, I just crumble them up and throw them into another bag and stuff as much as possible in. Then, when I pull one bag out, it's like the main bag just vomited little bag balls....

We do that to gather them together for recycling and sometimes for other uses (like trash bags for small trash cans).
