Look I know thy people are gonna dislike this, but teaching animals that don't understand to be gay isn't a good thing. What if animals began to develop this trait and all of them began being homosexual and then none of them breeded? I'm not against gays, in fact quite the opposite. It's just hopefully it doesn't become a trait with animals not capable of understanding.
These kinds of things most likely only happen in places like this, where they are taken care of by humans. In the real animal world, it's all about survival of the fittest and reproduction, like literally that is all animals think about so don't worry about them going extinct haha (by natural ways anyways).

They later fought and broke up and one of the penguins mated and stayed with a female.
They're not gay, they're ensuring survival of the species by working together to raise an egg that otherwise would have died. It's no different than 2 hetero flatmates raising a baby that landed on their doorstep overnight.
actually, from the way this was worded, it looks more like the penguins were already together. It said they gave the egg to THEM, not one of them and the other just joined in.
Guest, why is being gay adorable? So much for "equality." Homosexuality is clearly now a privilege -- something that makes you better or more important than regular folk. This helps us understand why people get bothered by "rights" activists.

Shh, supernovamike. Disagree with them and they will falsely label you homophobic.
Not falsely. We're not doing bad things here. You're so against gays, you're against gay penguins. And we're not saying that gay penguins upstage regular penguins, we're stating that they are also adorable, as in they're as adorable as heterosexual penguins. And anyway, why the heck are we arguing about this? What profit will you receive for being homophobic?
You don't have to say that gay penguins upstage regular ones, because doing so would only be stating the obvious. If I were a betting man, I'd bet anything that this post wouldn't be here at all if it was about regular penguins. I dare anyone to even try and think otherwise. So yes, there is definitely some upstaging going on, lime894.
Anyway, the profit I seek is an alliance with the truth. That's all. I just want to see past the rhetoric and the passion to understand things the way they are. I value sobriety and believe that it's important to live in the real world, and not try to manufacture an ideal one where everything is exactly the way we want it to be. That's not healthy.

It's pointless to fight, supernovamike. Funsubstance became Tumblr so, different opinions means that you're a closed-minded xenophobic, homo/transphobic, racist, misogynist, Bible-thumping cis-gender scum without knowing who you truly are.
Supernovamike, the gay penguins is a post and heterosexual penguins isn't because being gay is still something the world is adapting to. You don't see news about interracial marriages/couples anymore, but I'll bet you there was lots of coverage on that before, when the idea of people from two different races getting married was still frowned upon (well more widely anyways).
That's a nice idea, witty, but that's just not how it looks. Our pop culture has become one that hates majorities and exalts the oddballs. There's something wrong with that.
It's because we keep saying society only likes the normal ones, so to retaliate, we bring out the oddballs, but we are society. If that made sense. My sentence is structured awkwardly. Anyways, I think it's because we're trying to be so accepting of non-"normal" people that we've shunned the people that aren't different/eccentric, and now normal is a bad thing. But I'm not saying this to say that normal is cool and different is bad, just that we should accept everything and stop making certain things more special, and therefore making others feel bad because they're not like that. We should just work towards making people feel comfortable in their own skin.
Just saying in this whole string of comments that people praise homosexuals because theyre able to be confident enough to come out into the world who they really are and how they feel considering how much of a "sin" it was back in the day (and still is today)
I agree with you, anon, but I still think we should look at people individually because a gay person can still be an asshole. But yes, it is admirable that they are able to be themselves when there are so many people against that.
(@anon) ^THANK YOU. We're not calling it adorable if penguins are gay, we're calling it amazing that penguins can overcome tradition. And the sad thing is that penguins aren't even as advanced (mentally) as humans.
I'm sorry, lime, that's just a silly thing to say. Penguins didn't and can't "overcome tradition." They have no concept of tradition to begin with. Animals, generally speaking, also have no concept of higher morality. That's why we don't pattern our thought patterns after the behavior of creatures with brains that are far less advanced than ours. If animals were our role models, we would start doing all kinds of terrible things to each other.
