Not true. With equality between the genders, women will be treated as responsible for all their actions-- they will be as likely to face charges in cases like abuse or domestic violence, and fathers will be able to get an equal opportunity for custody of their children in cases of divorce. What is one example where women will have more opportunity than men in a gender-equal world?
True, but the point I'm trying to make is (I'm pretty sure I've stated this already) most feminists will rant on and on about the disparaties and inequalities where they can benefit from the changes, but are nowhere to be seen in cases where women get special treatment (eg. Getting away with assault, murder, and lying to the police, to name a few)
Most advocates will be nowhere to be seen when the group they are advocating is doing something "bad." (e.g. The vast number of "masculinists" who will complain about the misandrists but will conveniently overlook their own gender's faults). There is a very respectable amount of feminists on tumblr that are willing to talk about the "negative" effects of gender equality for women, which is why I prefer to be there than here.
Feminism isn't about equality for women. It's about making women more equal than men. The weird itself is a clue to that. If people want equal rights for all, shouldn't it be humanism or something?
"More equal"? It's called feminism because women have less rights than men, so it is the attempt to bring women up to the amount of (or lack of, in certain cases) rights that men have.
Girls who do that are assholes, and those so called "feminists" who use gender inequality as an excuse to bash men are assholes. Can we just call it like we see it and call everyone assholes?
Not feminists, just assholes*. People really need to brush up on their definition of the feminist movement and not associate it with "fat unattractive" women participating in men bashing. K thanks bye.
