I was a 2000s kid, but I didn't get hooked on technology like other kids.

I was born in 2000, but my parents raised me like a proper 90s kid, beastie boys, lo-tec, and my favorite toy was that little game with the water and the rings and stuff

I'm the same. I was a 2000's kid aswell but I lived off of our old, noisy box of a computer that was made between 1991-1993, my dad actually doesn't know how old that computer was, the people at his work were just throwing it out because it was obsolete and he took it instead. It has ms paint on it, and it played "age of empires" so I was perfectly happy with it.

I was an 80's kid. The coolest thing in the world was the debut of the CD.

The year was 2003. My mom used to work at the Disney store. She came home from work, put something on the table, and left to go grocery shopping. What did she leave? A DVD of Snow White. My dad and I were never more confused as we were since we saw it.

When we did get internet on our computer, we couldnt use the phone at the same time and the internet, and when we did use the internet, it was for my mum to check her emails. We just played with Paint on the computer.

I didn't actually live in Western civilization for at least half of my life so far, most of that during my earlier childhood. So I didn't have much interest in technology for a long time. I kinda miss the time when I didn't use the internet as much as I do now :(

Yeah I was too poor for technology until exactly 5 years ago. So I guess that turned out to be a bit of a blessing.

I was a 2000's kid (born in 98) but I was raised with 90's technology so I really don't know where I stand in this.

Ah gosh. Kids these days can still have a childhood, just like you. As good, even better. Stop trying to make it sound like 90's kids are better than the rest, because you're not. You where simply brought up in a different time.

.... Idk, I stayed inside and read books. Now I stay inside and write books. I don't think it's such a bad thing that the internet exists. Before technology, I really didn't even listen to music, since we were pretty poor, we just had radio and I found the kinds of stuff they played really annoying. I didn't keep friends for more than a year, they all moved on without me and I only saw them at school anyway. My mom was very authortitarian, and I never went anywhere with friends. I never even played outside.

And I was born in 1995. The first time I used the internet for anything outside of school, I was 10 and it was neopets.

I may have been born in 2000 but my parents only technology was a shitty computer from when I was 7 - 13. Its only since then I've gooten a better co outer and a tablet

Thanks. Makes everyone feel great about the year they where born in ... It isn't our fault that the technology these days is better than the technology when you where younger. I was born in 2000
