The name Leif Erikson has always bothered me. He was Scandinavian so shouldn't it be Leif Eriksen?

It's different in different countries. He was of Norwegian descent, so it would make sense that it was Eriksen. They have -son endings in Sweeden.

I thought it might have been an anglicised version, but then I wondered why they didn't go all the way and just make it Ericson.

Ummm, they killed tens of thousands of Russians, Scots, Brits, Irish, French, etc.

Killed hundreds of native americans, as well as enslaved them, possibly how or why there are what would be considered Inuits now in the most artic regions of the world. Theory is that they were native americans brought elsewhere by vikings or the chinese as slaves, and put to work. Then they stayed there and just left them.
